External Bank

The External Bank page is where admin users with appropriate security rights can view, enter, or modify information about external banks. This page appears in read-only  mode if you have view only security rights to external banks or if the external bank is in use by another admin user.

The fields and controls specific to this page are described below.

Field/Control

Description

*External Bank Name

The name of the external bank. This field can contain up to 35 characters and is required.

*Address Line 1

The first line of the external bank’s address. This field can contain up to 35 characters and is required.

Address Line 2

The second line of the external bank’s address. This field can contain up to 35 characters.

*City

The city of the external bank. This field can contain up to 23 characters and is required.

Province / State

The name or code of the province or state of the external bank. This field can contain up to 8 characters.

*Country

The country of the external bank. To specify, select a country from the drop-down list.

Postal Code

The postal code of the external bank. This field can contain 8 characters.

Phone Number

The phone number of the external bank. This field can contain 20 characters.

SWIFT Address

The two-part SWIFT address of the external bank. The first part of the SWIFT address can contain 8 characters and the second part of the SWIFT address can contain 3 characters.

Fax Number 1

The primary Fax number of the external bank. This field can contain 20 characters.

Fax Number 2

The secondary Fax number of the external bank. This field can contain 20 characters.

Instrument ID Prefixes and Suffixes

Instrument Type

Column displaying each type of instrument that can be created in the system. For each instrument type, enter a prefix and suffix for the IDs of instruments processed through this external bank. Such identification allows identification of instruments processed by each external bank. This is especially helpful when instruments for one bank are processed through several different external banks.

Instrument Prefix

The instrument ID prefix for instruments processed through this external bank. In general, instrument prefixes identify the instrument's external bank. For example, the prefix for the "Your Bank - London" external bank might be 'YBL'.

Instrument Suffix

The instrument ID suffix for instruments processed through this external bank. In general, instrument ID suffixes identify the type of instrument being processed. For example, the instrument ID for an Import Letter of Credit might be 'IMP' or 'ILC'.

Save

Pressing this button saves the current information in all sections of the External Bank page. This button does not display when the page is displayed in read-only mode.

Save & Close

Pressing this button saves the current information in all sections of the External Bank page and returns you to the External Banks Listing page. This button does not display when the page is displayed in read-only mode.

Delete

Pressing this button deletes the currently displayed external bank from the system and returns you to the External Banks Listing page. This button does not display when the page is displayed in read-only mode.

Close

Pressing this button closes the External Bank page without saving any information and returns you to the External Banks Listing.
