Users with admin rights can create new generic messages by selecting Generic Message Categories from the Reference Data menu.
To create a new Generic Message Category:
1. Press the Reference Data menu drop-down arrow in the navigation bar.
Result: The Reference Data Options displays.
2. Select Generic Message Categories from the drop-down list.
Result: The Generic Message Categories list page displays.
3. Press New.
Note: If you do not have security rights to create a new generic message category, this button does not appear on the page.
Result: The Generic Message Category Form page displays.
4. Complete the fields below: (a red asterisk indicates the field is required)

5. When all required fields are completed, select an option below:

Selecting this button saves the Generic Message Category Form page in the database, but the page will not be closed. |
Save and Close |
Selecting this button saves the Generic Message Category Form page in the database and closes the page. User is taken back to the previous page. |
Delete |
Allows the user to Delete the selected message category. |
Close |
Selecting this button closes the Generic Message Category Form page without saving changes. |
