The Attach a Document option allows you to attach a PDF or TIFF document to a pending transaction or mail message and have it sent to your bank. The PDF or TIFF document can be attached to any of the following transactions/mail messages.
Import Documentary LC – Issue, Amend and Discrepancy Response
Request to Advise – Issue, Amend and Discrepancy Response
Outgoing Standby LC (simple or detailed) – Issue and Amend
Outgoing Guarantee – Issue and Amend
Export Documentary LC – Issue Transfer, Amend Transfer, Assignment Request, Discrepancy Response
Air Waybill – Release
Shipping Guarantee – Issue
Loan Request – Issue
Export Collection – Issue, Amend and Tracer
Funds Transfer – Issue
Mail messages sent to the Bank
A PDF or TIFF document can only be added to a portal transaction prior to authorization of the transaction to the bank, i.e., when the transaction is in a Started, Ready to Authorize, Partially Authorized, Authorized Failed or Returned by Bank status. Once a transaction is in an Authorized or Processed by Bank state, no PDF documents can be added to the transaction.
To attach a document:
From within the transaction data entry page or create mail message page press the ”r;Attach a Document” button.
The new web page allows you to:
Provide a name for the file to be uploaded
Browse the hard drive for the document to upload. By pressing the ”r;Browse” button you can search for the file via a ”r;Choose File” dialog box that allows you to browse the local hard drive to find a file to upload. Then press ”r;ok” to return to the previous web page where the document is to be uploaded.
Once you select a document from the Choose File dialog box and press the ”r;Upload” button to finalize the document selection for attachment it will return to the transaction data entry screen. Alternatively you can press the ”r;Close” button and return to the transaction data entry screen with no file selection having been made.
To attach more than one document to be sent to the bank, attach each document separately following the steps mentioned above.
